Every spring, the Tulip Festival is held throughout April. Visit the capital during this period and you'll be hard pressed to miss the many tulip displays throughout the city, especially in the most touristy areas and around the main museums.
Floating flowerbeds from the fountain in front of the Rijksmuseum to the planters scattered around the city, it's easy to enjoy the tulips. walking around and soaking it all in.

The second most famous tulip museum in the Netherlands is located in the town of Lisse, close to the Keukenhof gardens.

Easy to visit on a day trip from Amsterdam, this is a place I recommend you see.
Nearby, in the fields surrounding Lisse, are numerous fields of hyacinths and striped tulips, but it's important to note that the Keukenhof entrance ticket does not include access to the neighboring fields.
