Bike parking in Amsterdam: where to park your bike?
In principle, you can park your bike anywhere, as long as there are no signs indicating that it's a no-bike zone and your bike is not in the way of others.
Unfortunately, bike theft and vandalism are commonplace in Holland. So be careful where you leave your bike, and make sure it's in a safe place. tie it permanently.

Amsterdam has a strict policy on bicycle parking. Signs indicate where you can't leave your bike.
Look for signs indicating Verboden fietsen te plaatsen (bicycles may not be parked).

Heavy penalties

Unfortunately, bicycle theft is a common phenomenon in the Netherlands. Every year, hundreds of thousands of bicycles are stolen, especially in the big cities.
Whether you're popping into a store or enjoying a refreshing drink on a terrace, leaving your bike unlocked is never a good idea.
Anyone could grab your bike and ride away.
If you're bringing your own bike to Amsterdam, make sure it's equipped with good locks and use them at all times.
Leave your bike in a guarded parking lot
Bicycle theft is a real problem in central Amsterdam. Even if you've locked your bike, you may not find it when you get back.
If you have an expensive bike or rent one for your vacation, It's best to use one of the supervised bike parks.
Please note that it is not possible to reserve a space in advance. If the parking lot is full, you'll have to leave your bike elsewhere.
Bicycle parking in Amsterdam: Amsterdam city council gets involved
Amsterdam City Council offers supervised bicycle parking, which is free for the first 24 hours.
Then you have to pay a small fee. The Amsterdam City Council website provides an interactive map of supervised bicycle parking facilities in central Amsterdam.
