Bitterzoet: a full agenda
Check the diary and you might find venues as diverse as Afro-Cuban jazz fusion, funk jam sessions, hip-hop battles, skateboard performances, rock nights and house parties.
It's also where Fun Lovin Criminals played an unofficial late-night gig, the last time they visited the Netherlands on tour.
You're sure to find what you're looking for in this eclectic venue. You'll be sure to enjoy an evening out with friends in Amsterdam.
A meeting place for young hipsters
The Bitterzoet crowd is dynamic and young, and knows where to buy the latest sneakers, where to find the underground venues that matter and which record store has the best selection of vinyl sampling equipment.
On site, you can mingle with the crowd and meet the local population.
Bitterzoet: what does the place look like?
Bitterzoet itself is a two-storey discotheque with a large bar, stage and dance floor on the first floor, and a chill-out bar and theater stage upstairs.
In addition to what happens on stage, Bitterzoet regularly spoils visitors with talented DJs.
Admission is modest, and the music doesn't stop until 3am (4am on weekends). Don't be surprised if your entrance ticket entitles you to bonuses.
In fact, on certain special evenings, the establishment offers one hour of unlimited free beer or a t-shirt with the band's logo.
Bitterzoet is a venue frequently targeted by event marketing efforts, and gifts are of course very welcome.
