Magna Plaza, Amsterdam's most beautiful shopping center

Magna Plaza presentation
Magna Plaza is undoubtedly Amsterdam's most beautiful shopping center, occupying an impressive building combining the styles of neogothic and neo-renaissance Dutch. A perfect setting for shopping on a rainy day!
Opened in 1992, it is housed in the former post office premises and its interior is quite picturesque. 3 floors decorated with busts, a fountain and a piano, as well as an exhibition dedicated to Rembrandt. Vaulted ceilings and columns surround the railings, creating a truly impressive interior.
Located about 15 minutes' walk from the main railway station (and much less by bike !), it is home to brand-name boutiques (from Lacoste to Mango, with many international brands) but is especially interesting for tourists, for its local food products. You'll find great cheeses, delicious local mustards and original souvenirs!
De Bijenkorf, an iconic shopping center in Amsterdam

Introducing De Bijenkorf
De Bijenkorf (literally La Ruche) is one of the world's largest the most famous from all over the country. A true success story local! Over the years, this small haberdashery has become a gigantic complex, comparable to France's Galeries Lafayette.
It opened in 1871 and the major brands have since been clamoring for their place in one of the 5 floors in this shopping center, which occupies a surface area of 20,000 m2.
It is mainly home to fashion boutiques and accessories. fashion (Hermès, Gucci, Michael Kors, etc.), which will appeal to visitors with a taste for the latest fashion trends and a substantial budget. Just a stone's throw away, you can visit the unmissable Amsterdam Royal Palace !
Kalvertoren, a shopping center with a panoramic view of Amsterdam

The stores in the building are varied, making it a popular place to shop. by local residentsYou'll find everything here. Its main attraction lies not so much in its classic stores, but in the panoramic view from the restaurant at the top of its tower.
This Blue Amsterdam offers small snacks and a very nice setting to take a break from shopping. Certainly less impressive than the view from the A'Dam LookoutBut it's still very pleasant.
Gelderlandplein, Amsterdam's southern shopping center

- Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 9.30am to 6pm, Sunday and Monday between 12pm and 5pm, Monday between noon and 6pm.
Presentation of the Gelderlandplein
Located in the Amsterdam's southernmostGelderlandplein is one of the city's largest shopping centers. Built on the ground floor, it has only one storey. But it's packed with fashion, cosmetics, food and knick-knack stores. This can make for fond memories to bring back.
Quite off-center, this huge shopping mall is perfect for a rainy day. But also for strolling through the parks or along the canals. You can easily spend half a day or more here, enjoying the stores and the many cafés and restaurants. You should know that a children's area is also available, to keep toddlers busy!
Finally, for enthusiasts contemporary artIt's well worth a visit, with works of art on display throughout its aisles. (If you like modern art, I highly recommend a visit to the Moco Museum !).
IJpassage, the Central Station shopping mall

- Opening hours: Monday to Saturday (between 9:30/10:00 and 18:30/19:00), Sunday from 12:00 to 17:00

Without being the most interesting shopping center in Amsterdam, IJpassage is by far the most easily accessible, as it is located on the lower floor of the Amsterdam Central Station. The station is a hub for visitors from all over the world. the airportand intersections of 4 of the 5 Amsterdam metro.
Here you'll find stores such as Lush, Rituals, a number of Dutch brands and the classic Starbucks and other international restaurant chains. If it's raining or a little chilly when you're visit AmsterdamIt's a refuge that's always good to know!
