Amsterdam dinner cruise: article summary
Amsterdam dinner cruise: at a glance
When you think of Amsterdam, you'll probably think of the many interesting museums, the liberal culture with its coffeeshops and the Red Light District.
However, once you've visited the city, you're sure to remember Amsterdam's distinctive architecture and its many canals.
Amsterdam's canal belt is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. That's why I highly recommend booking a canal cruise. That way, you can really enjoy the tranquility of this emblematic historic district.
If you're looking for something a little more intimate, you can also book a private cruise entirely tailored to your desires, an ideal option for private parties or birthdays.
Why dine on an Amsterdam boat?
Of course, in Amsterdam you'll find plenty of restaurants where you can dine well. So what's the added value of dining on a boat? The answer is pretty simple: you combine the best of both worlds while escaping the crowds!
While you sit down, have a drink and a bite to eat, you can watch the city go by.
Once on board, the friendly staff will make you feel at home and at ease. During the cruise, you can either sit inside or enjoy the view from the aft deck.
Dinner cruise in Amsterdam: enjoy an exceptional evening
The boat will pick you up around 6:30 pm, near the Town Hall. The captain and waitress will warmly welcome you with a welcome drink and appetizers, which will be served at your private table.
Once the boat has left, the menu will be presented to you. It offers a choice of dishes:
- Fish
- Meat
- Vegetarians.
Once you've made your choice, the boat sets sail for the restaurant, which prepares the dishes of your choice freshly.
Before serving the first course, you enjoy a delicious aperitif. After the first course, the boat will return to the restaurant to collect the main course and dessert.
Between courses, you can step outside to enjoy the view from the terrace, weather permitting. If the weather isn't so kind, the boat will be comfortably heated.
The boat's beautifully laid tables and wood finish already create a warm, cosy atmosphere!
