Amsterdam is probably the most popular destination for visits in the Netherlands, and the Gaasper Camping Amsterdam is located on the south-east side of the river.just a few steps from a metro.
From here, you can go directly to the downtown in 15 minutes.
A place for everyone
The site is well-maintained and carefully landscaped on flat grass with beautiful trees and shrubs. There are two main tourist areas:
- One open, mainly reserved for tents
- The other is more formal, with numbered plots divided by shallow ditches or hedges.
All caravan sites have electrical hook-ups. So you can connect your motorhome to the campsite electrical service.

In high season, the site is very busy and you'll need to arrive during the day to find room. In July and August, recording starts at 11 a.m.
Although it's a typical, busy urban site, it's better than many others, with a friendly welcome and staff who speak perfect English.
Numerous on-site attractions
The campsite borders a large park with natural areas and a lake. Here you'll find sailing facilities and artificial beaches for swimming. You can also relax in the campsite bar or restaurant.
Close to the campsite, you can hire a bike to take you to Amsterdam. You can also relax on the nearby golf course. For more interesting experiences, horseback riding is also available.
Tickets for public transport, major museums and attractions are available from reception.

Three modern, clean sanitary blocks, including one for men and one for women, are at your disposal for the duration of your stay. There are several cabins with washbasins and showers. Please note, hot water for showers is not free.
The facilities also include:
- Laundry facilities

- A supermarket
- A grass playground

As with many other campsites in Amsterdam, free Wi-Fi is available. When you arrive, don't hesitate to ask for the login code.
How do I get there?
To reach the campsite by car or motorhome, take exit 1 for Gaasperplas-Weesp off the A9 freeway. The site is clearly signposted.
As mentioned above, you can also take the metro to get there.
