The Church: Amsterdam's most popular gay club
Church is one of the most respected clubs on Amsterdam's gay scene. Spread over two floors, Church offers a superb bar and dance floor, as well as private rooms and showers. The venue offers almost everything a playful spirit could wish for.
The club regularly organizes themed evenings, including the Wednesday nudist evening. During this evening, the only clothing allowed is shoes.

De Trut: a well-known gay club in Amsterdam
Another of Amsterdam's must-visit gay clubs, De Trut has been around since the 1980s. It has always been a favorite on the scene thanks to its non-commercial approach.
All staff members are volunteers and all profits made by the club are used for the following purposes to promote LGBT causes.
De Trut organizes club nights with specific dress codes that they strictly enforce. Be sure to consult the website of the to see what's going on before you go.
The use of telephones and all types of photography are also prohibited, in order to promote a safe place for LGBT people, away from prying eyes. De Trut remains a fun and safe gay club in Amsterdam.
Club NYX: Amsterdam's gay district club
This relatively mainstream club, located in the heart of Amsterdam's gay district, Reguliersdwarsstraat, attracts a younger crowd and welcomes heterosexual visitors.
The club is spread over three floors, each offering a different style of music. In the bathrooms on the third floor, you'll find something unique to NYX: a toilet DJ!
There are a number of rules at the club, which basically boil down to not taking photos, being pretentious or spoiling other people's fun.
Club NYX organizes a number of different club evenings and opens until 5 a.m. on weekends and until 9 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month.
Spellbound at Occii
Although not a dedicated gay bar, on the first Saturday of every two months Occii hosts Spellbound, the underground gay dance party. in the city.
Techno and house are the musical genres you'll find at the event, and visitors come from all over to dance and party in Occii's unique setting.
The site is a former squat, legalized in 1989. Every member of the staff is a volunteer and, when not hosting Spellbound, Occii serves as a center for a wide range of alternative cultural events.
