Buy a tourist pass
If you're planning a busy itinerary packed with other attractions such as the Rijksmuseumthe gardens of Keukenhof or the A'DAMI recommend buying a tourist pass. You'll then be able to save on entrance tickets and tours.
Each tourist pass has its own advantages. So I suggest you think about the attractions you want to visit to help you decide which pass is right for you.
Choose the I Amsterdam Card
An I Amsterdam City Card includes free public transport throughout the city, as well as free admission to several attractions. You can choose the number of days you want the card to be valid.
Take a Go City Explorer
The Go City Explorer Pass is another great option, giving you a choice of three to seven attractions and tours at a great price.
The Go City All-Inclusive Pass works a little differently. Instead of choosing how many attractions you want to visit, simply choose the number of days you want the pass to be valid.
You'll then have unlimited access to all the attractions included in the card! This option is particularly useful if you're staying in Amsterdam for more than a weekend.
When is the best time to visit the Heineken Experience?
If you're planning to visit the Heineken Experience, but want to avoid the crowds, the best time to visit is during opening hours in the morning, at 10.30 a.m. on weekdays.
Weekdays are generally less busy than weekends, as you'll avoid the crowds. The brasserie is generally not very busy. weekdays before 1 p.m.
What are the opening hours of the Heineken Experience?
The Heineken Experience opens :
- 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sunday to Thursday
- 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
How to access the Heineken experience?
Getting to the Heineken Experience is extremely easy using Amsterdam's public transport system.
The brewery is located in the De Pijpwhich is very centrally located. If the weather's fine, you can easily get to the Heineken Experience from the red light district in under 30 minutes, or from the Museumplein in around 15 minutes.
You can also choose to take :
- The blue line of the metro 52 to Vijzelgracht station
- Streetcar lines 1, 7 and 19 to Vijzelgracht stop
- The tramway 24 or 4 to the Marie Heinekenplein stop.
How do Heineken Experience tickets work?
There are two types of ticket for the Heineken Experience: standard admission and VIP admission.
The standard admission ticket gives you access to the original Heineken brewery on a self-guided tour, and two Heineken beers at the Best " Dam Bar after your visit. If you wish to visit the rooftop bar, you can add it to your standard ticket or when you arrive at the brewery.
The VIP ticket package includes :
- A two-and-a-half-hour guided tour of the original Heineken brewery
- Roof access
- Access to the hidden bar.
After your visit, you can sample five Heineken beers at the bar. Afterwards, you'll be invited to take the interactive self-guided tour. VIP ticket also includes a personalized souvenir.
Once you've chosen a ticket type, you can select an entry time. Try to arrive at least 10 minutes before the time indicated.
How much do tickets for the Heineken Experience cost?
Tickets for the Heineken Experience are surprisingly affordable, considering what's included.
A standard ticket without roof access will cost you €23.00 per personwhile a standard ticket with roof access will cost €27.50 per person.
If you wish to purchase the VIP package, the price is €59.50 per person.
Combined cruise and brasserie ticket is €32.50 per person.
The starting price of the I Amsterdam City Card (which includes free transport throughout the city) begins at 60 for a one-day pass.
If you want to bundle and save on a Go City pass, the all-inclusive Go City pass will cost you a starting price of €59 for a one-day pass, or €54 for the three-attraction Go City Explorer pass.
