Where is the Hyatt Regency Amsterdam located?
The Hyatt Regency Amsterdam is located on the southern edge of the city center, along one of the outer canals. Here, you're just one block from the Amsterdam train station. metro Weesperplein, 3 stops from the main station.
You will also find the tramway 7 and 10 which will take you to the museums. It's about a 30-minute walk from the heart of the old town.
Quality rooms
At the Hyatt Regency Amsterdam, you'll find several rooms overlooking the courtyard and canal.
Arranged in the same way, there's a small entrance followed by the bathroom on the right and the cupboards on the left.
On-site reservations double rooms, single rooms or luxury suites. The hotel offers a wide choice of accommodation to suit all budgets.
Hyatt Regency Amsterdam: a comfortable layout
The TV is at the foot of the bed on a small table. The TV is equipped with an AppleTV so you can set up your computer/iPhone on the TV.
A perfect little attention, especially if you want to enjoy a larger screen for working or watching a film. There's also a desk and an armchair.
Lighting is controlled by switches on either side of the bed. In addition to the ceiling lights, an LED reading light is installed on each side of the bed.
Water is provided daily and a capsule coffee maker is available in the room. The Minibar is basic and prices are standard.
A bathroom to relax in
The bathroom is modern and, like most modern hotels, has a barn-style sliding door. Inside the bathroom are three sections divided by glass doors. The central section is the sink and mirror.
The toilets are not particularly privateBut they are fitted with frosted glass to ensure a certain degree of privacy. I'd still suggest closing the bathroom door unless you're very close to your traveling companion.
To the left is the shower cubicle. There's a rainfall showerhead and a hand-held shower rod. The shower is controlled by push-buttons and a temperature knob.
Toiletries are by Pharmacopia. All amenities are replaced on a daily basis.
A restaurant to try
If you have the Club Access Award or have booked a Club room, you can enjoy breakfast in the Club lounge or main restaurant, Mama Makan.
For breakfast, we offer a buffet as well as dishes prepared to order. If you choose For breakfast, the price is €28.
The hotel bar is lively in the evenings. On Friday evenings, you can also enjoy a DJ night. You can order food in the restaurant, even if you're in the bar.
Just outside the bar is the courtyard. From bicycles are available for daily rental.
Hyatt Regency Amsterdam: access to the gym
Although there's no swimming pool, the facilities include a top-of-the-range gym. Covering two floors, the second floor is a gym, while the basement houses the locker room and spa area.
The spa area is rather strange. There's a men's/women's changing room, but they go out into the bathroom. a shared spa area with sauna, steam room and huge shower.
Enjoy the Regency Club at the Hyatt Regency Amsterdam
The Regency Club is located on the 2ᵉ floor. It's a beautiful space overlooking the street. Here you can enjoy breakfast or lunch. There's always coffee, sodas, water and fruit juices available.
In the afternoon, they offer light snacks and happy hour in the evening. The perfect place to relax after a a long day's walk in Amsterdam.
