Katsu Coffeeshop in Amsterdam: article summary
Katsu Coffeeshop: an incredible atmosphere
This cosy and colourful coffeeshop is located in the De Pijp not far from the Heineken brewery.
The owners offer a wide selection of cannabis varieties, which they market as medicinal plants.
Unlike other places in Amsterdam, this is not a tourist trap. The place is colorfully decorated, and you'll usually find works of art for purchase alongside the cannabis plants on offer.
In fact, Katsu Coffeeshop is also part art gallery, which means that it offers different from other coffeeshops in town.
A place to eat in the heart of the tourist district
On the sweet side, this coffeeshop offers a small selection of sweet things. This selection is mainly supported by the edible products they sell.
However, nobody comes to a coffeeshop in Amsterdam to enjoy cakes. Although Katsu Coffeeshop doesn't offer a very wide range of food products, you can find a small selection of space cakes.
You can also taste :
- Soft drinks
- Milkshakes
- Hot chocolates
- A wide choice of Italian coffees
Katsu Coffeeshop: discover their wide range of cannabis
One thing that can't be ignored is the different varieties of cannabis on offer.
The high-quality cannabis they sell here aims to be high-quality. They also make every effort to give you plenty of choice.
Some of the herbs on offer at Katsu Coffeeshop include:
- A full range of hashish, including Mean Green, Kief Maroc and Super Pollen
- 9 or more Sativa varieties to get you moving, including: Super Silver, Purple, Amnesia, Super Lemon, Black Widow and Haze Shake
- 8 Kush varieties under the Indica label
- Thai Stix as the only imported herb variety.
Their rolled meadows come in all shapes and sizes, with both a pure joint and a tobacco-based joint for hash, indica and sativa.
A small souvenir store
Unfortunately, the coffeeshop offers very few souvenirs. However, it's not because you can't get a t-shirt with the local logo if they don't have their own souvenir store.
As I said earlier, you'll find artwork in store, and you can buy a pack of rolling papers stamped Katsu Coffeeshop.
All in all, this is the ideal coffeeshop to visit in Amsterdam if you don't want to be ripped off by high prices, or if you want to buy a work of art and enjoy a good cup of coffee. Katsu Coffeeshop is definitely one more stop to add to your Amsterdam trip.
