Rates at Keukenhof: what are your options?
There are several fare options when you travel to Keukenhof. For example, you can book a guided tour.
Prices for the latter start from 39 euros per person.
However, there are many different tours you can book that will get you from Amsterdam to Keukenhof quickly and easily. The simplest option will take you directly from the center of Amsterdam to Keukenhof in less than an hour.
Take public transport from Amsterdam to Keukenhof
For a ticket combined with transport services, please allow :
- 36 € for the Keukenhof Express with park admission
Unless you book a guided tour, there's no direct connection between central Amsterdam and Keukenhof, so you'll have to make the journey in two stages.
The best ticket to buy for this trip (which includes admission to Keukenhof) is the combined Train + Bus + Admission ticket.
If you're hoping to get to Keukenhof from Amsterdam, you'll need to go to Schiphol airport by train.
Then take the Keukenhof Express (bus 858) from Schiphol airport, departing 8 times an hour from the bus station opposite the airport. First departures around 8 a.m. every day.
Drive to the park
The easiest option is to use your own vehicle. To do this, you need to drive to the park and leave your car in the parking lot. For the latter, you must count :
- 6 € per day
If you want to get there before everyone else, this is probably your best choice for avoiding the crowds.
Keukenhof is located between Amsterdam and The HagueSo you can get there easily by following the directions on your GPS.
Please note that the parking lot fills up very quickly. I advise you to arrive as early as possible. You'll then be sure of a place!

Each year, it opens its doors for just 8 weeks to over 1.4 million visitors, making it one of the most popular attractions in the Netherlands.
These gardens offer over 7 million flowers arranged in displays, creating 32 hectares of breathtaking scenery.
It's a lively, beautiful place to visit.
What are the opening hours?
In 2024, the Keukenhof gardens are scheduled to open from March 21 to May 12.
You can get there :
- 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The garden remains open even at Easter, at King's Day and Liberation Day
The box office closes at 6 p.m., so make sure you don't miss out! buy your tickets in advance if you plan to arrive late.
A new theme every year
Each year, Keukenhof's gardens are decorated according to a new theme.
- 2015 was the year of Van Gogh
- 2016 was the golden age
- 2017 was Dutch design
- 2018 was a romance in bloom
- 2019 was flower power
- 2020 and 2021 were both "A world of colors", a nod to global cultures!
- 2022, it was the tulips
The theme of Keukenhof 2024 has yet to be determined.
