The Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam has been built as part of a new port development comprising office, residential and cultural elements. It is a part of the city that is rarely visited.
So it may come as a surprise to see a host of new stores, chic restaurants and cafés along the route linking the main station at the hotel.
A new district
Everything is brand new, including the public library: Openbare Bibliotheek. At the port, new berthing areas have been created for the huge river cruise ships.
You'll also find the futuristic Muziek aan het IJ/Bimhuis Theatre. The hotel is part of this huge complex, which includes the musical theater and cruise terminal.

After check-in, you can proceed to your room. From here, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Amsterdam harbor.
