Paradiso has been at this location since 1968, when the "Paradiso Cosmic Relaxation Center" opened its doors.
Initially set up as a creative collective, over the years the music scene has taken root here, and Paradiso Amsterdam now regularly features concerts by international bands.

In addition to concerts by major international bands, Paradiso is one of Amsterdam's most popular clubs. DJs organize many different musical evenings here, and the ever-changing line-up is constantly updated on the site's website.
A cult festival venue
Every year, numerous festivals take root in the Paradiso's main hall, among other venues, and Amstellodammers gather at the Britpop festival Calling or the more electronic Five Days Off.
Paradiso in Amsterdam: a huge concert hall
For an alternative music concert in Amsterdam, the Paradiso's main hall is the perfect venue.
The cavernous interior has a capacity of 1,500 people and international bands such as Queens of the Stone Age and White Stripes often fill it to overflowing.
Needless to say, the fact that the room was once a church hall means that not only is the interior quite impressive, but the acoustics are excellent too.
Upstairs, the small hall is Paradiso's secondary concert venue for small groups and emerging artists.
The capacity here is only 250, so be sure to book your tickets early.
A sister club in the city
Paradiso has also started organizing events at its second branch: Paradiso Noord, which is located on the other side of the IJ, near theEye Film Institute.
Just hop on a free ferry behind Central Station to get there. Be sure to check the club's calendar, and make sure you know which Paradiso hosts the event you wish to attend.
Paradiso in Amsterdam: what are the opening times and admission prices?
Ticket prices vary according to the artist performing. Tickets for all concerts and events can be purchased online on the Paradiso website.
Simply print them out and send them to before the event.
In addition to the price of the concert, a small membership fee is compulsory for entry to this Amsterdam club. can be paid in advance or on arrival.
Doors usually open about half an hour before shows start, but for big band concerts, a queue can form in front of Paradiso.
Be prepared to show up a little early to get a good seat.
