A perfect setting for shopping on a rainy day!<\/p>\n<p>Opened in 1992, it is housed in the former post office premises and its interior is quite picturesque. <strong>3 floors<\/strong> decorated with busts, a fountain and a piano, as well as an exhibition dedicated to <strong>Rembrandt<\/strong>. Vaulted ceilings and columns surround the railings, creating a truly impressive interior.<\/p>\n<p>Located about 15 minutes' walk from the main railway station (and much less <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/velo-amsterdam\/\">by bike\u00a0<\/a>!), it is home to <strong>brand-name boutiques<\/strong> (from Lacoste to Mango, with many international brands) but is especially interesting for tourists, for its <strong>local food products<\/strong>. Over the years, this small haberdashery has become a gigantic complex, comparable to France's Galeries Lafayette.<\/p>\n<p>It opened in <strong>1871<\/strong> and the major brands have since been clamoring for their place in one of the <strong>5 floors<\/strong> in this shopping center, which occupies a surface area of 20,000 m<sup>2<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>It is mainly home to fashion boutiques and accessories. <strong>fashion<\/strong> (Herm\u00e8s, Gucci, Michael Kors, etc.), which will appeal to visitors with a taste for the latest fashion trends and a substantial budget. Its main attraction lies not so much in its classic stores, but in the panoramic view from the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/restaurant-amsterdam\/\">restaurant<\/a> at the top of its tower.<\/p>\n<p>This <em>Blue Amsterdam<\/em> offers small snacks and <strong>a very nice setting<\/strong> to take a break from shopping. Certainly less impressive than the view from the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/adam-lookout\/\">A'Dam Lookout<\/a>But it's still very pleasant.<br \/>\n<a name=\"4\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Gelderlandplein, Amsterdam's southern shopping center<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Address: <em>Van Leijenberghlaan 43, 1082 GC Amsterdam<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 9.30am to 6pm, Sunday and Monday between 12pm and 5pm, Monday between noon and 6pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Presentation of the<\/strong> <strong>Gelderlandplein<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-194\" src=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Gelderlandplein.jpg\" alt=\"Gelderlandplein shopping center in amsterdam\" width=\"550\" height=\"412\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Gelderlandplein.jpg 550w, https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Gelderlandplein-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Located in the <strong>Amsterdam's southernmost<\/strong>Gelderlandplein is one of the city's largest shopping centers. Built on the ground floor, it has only one storey. But it's packed with fashion, cosmetics, food and knick-knack stores. This can make for <strong>fond memories<\/strong> to bring back.<\/p>\n<p>Quite off-center, this huge shopping mall is perfect for a rainy day. But also for strolling through the parks or along the canals. You can easily spend half a day or more here, enjoying the stores and the many caf\u00e9s and restaurants. You should know that a <strong>children's area<\/strong> is also available, to keep toddlers busy!<\/p>\n<p>Finally, for enthusiasts <strong>contemporary art<\/strong>It's well worth a visit, with works of art on display throughout its aisles. The station is a hub for visitors from all over the world. <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/amsterdam-airport\/\">the airport<\/a>and intersections of 4 of the 5 <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/amsterdam-metro\/\">Amsterdam metro<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here you'll find stores such as Lush, Rituals, a number of Dutch brands and the classic Starbucks and other international restaurant chains.
