Here's its history and the events that take place there!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Introducing the Amsterdam Arena\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Construction of the Amsterdam Arena has begun <strong>in 1993<\/strong>The new stadium was officially opened on August 14, 1996, for a friendly match between Ajax Amsterdam and AC Milan. The stadium replaced the De Meer stadium, which had become too small for the club.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>the country's largest stadium<\/strong>with its 68,000 seats (56,000 for matches).
