What's more, you can negotiate a price that would probably be cheaper if you had to buy the furniture yourself.<\/p>\n<p>If you're looking for semi-furnished rental properties, you need to look at what's inside. These properties tend to <strong>be equipped with flooring, lighting and sometimes even a piece or two of furniture.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once you've found a place to rent, the best thing to do to make sure you don't pay too much is to go shopping. <strong>kringloopwinkel<\/strong>! Generally speaking, you can furnish your entire apartment for as little as \u20ac200.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc141174213\"><\/a><strong>Stay out of the city center<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Of course, living in the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/amsterdam-city-center\/\">downtown<\/a> may be easier, but it will be expensive.<\/p>\n<p>When you're trying to find cheap accommodation in Amsterdam, ask yourself if you really need to be right in the center?<\/p>\n<p>You may find that a rental property located just 15 minutes from the center of town in <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/tramway-amsterdam\/\">tramway<\/a> costs half the price. You can even get deals on the train <strong>to save money on the journey!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What's more, if you live on the outskirts of town, you're actually more likely to be near a supermarket and have access to a <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/parking-amsterdam\/\">parking<\/a> free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>And given the notorious cost of parking in the Netherlands, you'll need to decide whether renting a space is really worthwhile for you.<\/p>\n<p>Some taxes may also be more expensive in the city center, depending on your location, <strong>so you need to take that into account too.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc141174214\"><\/a><strong>Accommodation in Amsterdam: enjoy a smaller property<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Do you need an extra room? For many people, your roommates end up becoming your great friends.<\/p>\n<p>Rental becomes much cheaper overall, and <strong>you'll always have your own personal space.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When you're looking into sharing, it's also a good idea to find out about the tenants. Usually, they'll tell you whether they're professionals or students, so you can determine whether the house is right for you.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc141174216\"><\/a><strong>Getting away from Randstad<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Randstad, which includes Amsterdam and Rotterdam, <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/la-haye\/\">The Hague<\/a>Utrecht and the surrounding area is one of the most expensive places to live.<\/p>\n<p>If you think you can make a living outside the bustling metropolises, head east or north <strong>will considerably reduce rental prices.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By far the most expensive place to live is in Amsterdam, with rental prices rising faster than in any other city. After all, it's the capital.<\/p>\n<p>However, cities like Groningen and Eindhoven are also densely populated and pleasant places to live.<\/p>\n<p>Finding cheap accommodation in Amsterdam can be difficult.
