All P+R sites are of course free of charge. <strong>served by public transport. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From the Noord P+R, you can walk directly to the metro and five minutes later you're at the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/amsterdam-centraal\/\">Amsterdam Central Station<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc141285524\"><\/a><strong>Cheap parking in Amsterdam: how much does it cost?<\/strong><strong>?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>You pay only 1 euro per 24 h at a P+R site when you drive on Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday. What's more, from Monday to Friday, you pay the same rate if you arrive after 10 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>After that, you can park for up to 96 hours (4 days), with the exception of the RAI P+R, where you can park for up to 24 hours. If you drive from Monday to Friday before 10 a.m. (i.e. during rush hours), <strong>you pay 8 euros for the first 24 hours. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the next 72 hours, you pay 1 euro per 24 hours. After 96 hours, you always pay the most expensive standard parking rate at the P+R site. This rate <strong>varies according to P+R location.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc141285525\"><\/a><strong>Take advantage of open-air parking<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Is the P+R full, or is there some other reason why you can't or don't want to park your car there? Then you can park your car on the street.<\/p>\n<p>Parking rates for public parking vary according to the parking zone. In the center of Amsterdam, you pay the most. To park your car for one hour, <strong>you will be charged \u20ac7.50. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the ring around the center (also the areas fairly close to the center), <strong>you pay \u20ac6.00 per hour<\/strong>. It's still quite expensive.<\/p>\n<p>In the areas behind the freeway, you generally pay \u20ac4.50 an hour, and as you move away from the city center, the hourly rate drops to <strong>a minimum of \u20ac2.50.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc141285526\"><\/a><strong>Cheapest parking lot in Amsterdam on the ring road: Noord<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Would you like to park on the street close to the center without paying the highest price? In Amsterdam Noord, <strong>parking charges are only \u20ac1.40 per hour. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>However, partly due to the construction of the Noord-Zuid-lijn and the rising cost of parking in the city center, parking is very difficult to come by.<\/p>\n<p>That's why there's often a maximum parking time at locations near the ferry to Amsterdam Central Station.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc141285527\"><\/a><strong>Cheap parking in Amsterdam: the cheapest parking lots<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Do you want to keep your car dry in a downtown parking lot, but don't want to pay a lot of money? Then the Parking Center Oosterdok, near Central Station, <strong>could be just the place for you. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you want to park in the center of Amsterdam for more than six hours, this parking lot offers a daily rate. <strong>from \u20ac5 to \u20ac15.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To benefit from this reduced rate, you must reserve your parking space in advance and pay via the parking lot's website. There are 100 spaces available daily.<\/p>\n<p>During your trip to Amsterdam, if you're travelling by car, I advise you to head for the parking lots that charge the least.
