This is <strong>a multi-activity place, very atypical, even for Amsterdam.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The staff are friendly and will make you feel at home. On site, you can enjoy occasional 360-degree performances.<\/p>\n<p>At these parties, everyone plays a role.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What are the opening hours?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>You can visit us on site:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thursday to Sunday <strong>from 7.30 p.m. to 4 a.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Monday from<strong> 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc141527886\"><\/a><strong>Unusual restaurant in Amsterdam: REM Eiland<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>REM Eiland is a unique restaurant in a former broadcasting platform of the illegal TV channel \"TV Noordzee\". Nowadays, it's located in the middle of Amsterdam's Houthavens and <strong>always offers an experience with a spectacular view. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The bar, restaurant, multifunctional studio and rooftop terrace offer a wealth of possibilities.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>A pirate past<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In the past, REM Island was all about creating an experience. As a broadcasting platform, it enabled millions of viewers <strong>to enjoy the first commercial television programs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This made TV Noordzee's broadcasting practices illegal. The Netherlands was not ready for this new form of entertainment, and so the broadcasts had to stop, according to the government.<\/p>\n<p>On December 17, 1964 at precisely 9 a.m., a raid was carried out on REM Eiland and the government put an end to TV Noordzee.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>A place for sharing<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The island was brought ashore, where the building underwent a complete renovation. While retaining the original elements, REM Island was then placed in Amsterdam's Houthavens and today functions as a trendy restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>There are 3 different concepts and floors. I suggest you check out the atmosphere you'd like to find yourself in before setting off for this restaurant. In fact, it's a fairly small restaurant, but one that offers <strong>high-quality cooking and a natural ambience.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Using traditional techniques and only wood-fired cooking, a weekly changing table d'h\u00f4te menu is created. The greenhouse once belonged to Amsterdam's municipal nursery.<\/p>\n<p>The dishes are prepared with the freshest local ingredients and<strong> the restaurant grows its own herbs and vegetables.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In fine summer weather, lunches and aperitifs are served outside on the herb garden terrace. They observe a strict non-smoking policy. If you want to try something different in Amsterdam, you should visit De Kas.<\/p>\n<p>Even if you're not vegetarian or vegan, you'll love the fresh, colorful dishes! The wine is also excellent. Finally, after your meal, you can <strong>take a stroll in Frankendael Park, right next to De Kas.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>What are the opening hours?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>You can visit De Kas Amsterdam:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tuesday to Sunday <strong>12 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to midnight<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Of course, there are many other unusual Amsterdam restaurants.
