Don't be caught unprepared. It's actually <strong>one of the best times of the year to visit the city.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Celebrate King's Day<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In fact, one of the best days of the year to visit Amsterdam is King's Day, which is the day on which the city's most important tourist attractions are inaugurated. <strong>celebrates the birth of King Willem-Alexander.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On this national holiday, known as Koningsdag in Dutch, you don't need a license to trade, so you'll find people in the parks and streets selling everything from vintage furniture to second-hand clothes.<\/p>\n<p>There are also a number of fashion shows, and almost everyone<strong> wears the Dutch national color, orange.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Enjoy the tulip season<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As the days get longer, the temperature on the thermometer starts to rise and the nights get shorter, there's perhaps no better way to enjoy spring in the Netherlands than by going in search of flowers.<\/p>\n<p>Tulip season is well and truly in full swing at the beginning of April. From dance houses to major museums, the city is packed with must-see attractions and must-visit destinations.<\/p>\n<p>However, if you're looking for an oasis of calm in the center of the city, you can always hide away in some of the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/begijnhof\/\">most beautiful Hofjes<\/a> of Amsterdam, many of which are best visited in spring when the buds are in bloom.
