Part of the history of the Red Light District is also presented in the museum: one of the rooms features the reception room of one of the young ladies who have worked here for several centuries.<\/p>\n<p>The interior features and decoration suggest that the scene played out by the wax figures dates back to the late 19th century. But even today, <strong>few things have changed in this business.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It's interesting to look at the history of photographs (and lithographs) with erotic content. We can see the extent to which beauty and fashion standards have evolved in this direction.<\/p>\n<p>The museum's creators didn't ignore Disney characters. On site, you'll discover a scene of Snow White surrounded by gnomes in full frivolity. If you wish, you can take photos here.<\/p>\n<p>However, I doubt it's a vacation souvenir you'll be showing off to your friends.<\/p>\n<p>The growth figures add a special flavour. In some parts of the museum, empty spaces suggest that the Mus\u00e9e \u00c9rotisme is<strong> ready to expand its collections.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And yet, ancient statuettes or dishes with erotic stories from ancient Greece, China, Japan, India and other countries have real historical value.<\/p>\n<p>You'll also see Chinese ivory tablets or clue leaflets with fragments of the Indian Kamasutra. A hand-held vibrator or <strong>modern porcelain figurines.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There's plenty to discover on site. Each room has its share of curiosities related to sex and its professions. Here you can buy condoms of all shapes, colors and tastes. Of course, other sex-related items are also sold on site.
