The cheese dairy has been on site for over 30 years, and here you'll find the most delicious traditional Dutch cheeses.<\/p>\n<p>At Rembrandthoeve, you'll discover how cheese is traditionally made. In addition to tasting the finest cheeses, you're also <strong>to the right place to buy unique handmade clogs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc144011676\"><\/a><strong>Amsterdam cheese dairy: De Kaagse Boer op Kaag Eiland<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>My favorite cheese farm is De Kaagse Boer on Kaag Eiland. This farm is small and unique. Where other farms are inundated with tourists, this is still where most Dutch people buy their farmhouse cheese.<\/p>\n<p>The farm is located on an island accessible only by ferry. Here you can discover <strong>the production of traditional cheeses with a fruity taste that I strongly recommend you try.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc144011677\"><\/a><strong>Henri Willig cheese farm<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Unlike De Kaagse Boer, Henri Willig is packed with tourists. At <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/amsterdam-city-center\/\">Amsterdam center<\/a>There are three cheese farms (Hoeves) in Katwoude.<\/p>\n<p>Each farm has its own identity. The cheese farm tour is perfect for combined trips. On-site parking is free at Alida Hoeve and Jacobs Hoeve. <strong>there are no entry fees for the three Hoeves.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc144011678\"><\/a><strong>Cheese markets near Amsterdam<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A visit to a cheese market is highly recommended. The three most popular cheese markets are those of<a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/alkmaar-amsterdam\/\">Alkmaar<\/a>Edam and <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/gouda-amsterdam\/\">Gouda<\/a>. Cheese markets are only held during the summer months, on a specific day of the week.
