They are grown in the Netherlands by Canna and Perenial Nursery Van Haaster.<\/p>\n<p>They bloom from June to October, and they're not the only flowers you'll see at the nursery.<\/p>\n<p>The plant offers guided tours, and I recommend that you visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanhaastercanna.nl\/index.php\/en\/\">to book your visit<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc145586070\"><\/a><strong>Flower fields in Amsterdam: De Groene Bollenschuur<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>These beautiful fields are almost always in bloom, with rows of different flowers to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>You can even stay here. De Groene Bollenschuur is a bed and breakfast, and the rooms are charming. The alliums bloom in early June and <strong>are spectacular<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc145586071\"><\/a><strong>Sassenheim<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>If you want to see fields of magnificent daffodils, Sassenheim is your best choice. These plants bloom from mid-March to mid-April.<\/p>\n<p>It lies on the border between North and South Holland. On site, <strong>you'll find plenty of cycle paths to explore the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It's well worth a day's visit, and you can also cycle past Keukenhof to the flower fields of Sassenheim and Lisse.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc145586072\"><\/a><strong>Flower fields in Amsterdam: Drenthe<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>From mid-June to early August, you can see fields of beautiful poppies growing in Drenthe. But that's not the only reason to visit.<\/p>\n<p>The national park is vast and incredible, with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. <strong>walk in the middle of nature and relax.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc145586073\"><\/a><strong>The Granma's farm<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This superb little lavender farm <strong>is located in the small village of Stroe,<\/strong> only an hour from Amsterdam. You can smell the fragrant scent of lavender as you approach.<\/p>\n<p>It's a wonderful place to spend an afternoon and there's a lovely little tea room where you can sit and relax.<\/p>\n<p>What's more, you can take lavender home with you, and if you dry it, you'll be able to enjoy this lovely fragrance all year round.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc145586074\"><\/a><strong>Amsterdam Bos<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There are over 400 cherry trees in <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/amsterdamse-bos\/\">Amsterdamse Bos<\/a>. These were donated in Amsterdam by a club of plant enthusiasts in 2000.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the trees has a name, and this stunning park is the best place in Europe to see the magnificent Japanese cherry trees in bloom.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc145586075\"><\/a><strong>Spend an afternoon at Keukenhof<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Of course, when you think of flower fields in Amsterdam, you automatically think of <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/keukenhof\/\">Keukenhof<\/a>. Just outside Amsterdam.<\/p>\n<p>In spring, it's bursting with stunning tulips. The garden is designed as a true work of art. During your visit, I recommend you take a detour and discover one of them.
