Most are frequented by local music producers and international artists.<\/p>\n<p>Concerto is undoubtedly the best place in town for fans of mainstream genres such as pop and rock. It also offers a wide range of <strong>hip-hop, electronic and classical on its huge Utrechtsestraat site.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For more alternative music, I recommend a visit to Amsterdam's underground mainstays:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rush Hour Records<\/li>\n<li>Red Light Records<\/li>\n<li>Waxwell Records<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You're bound to find what you're looking for in one of these places.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-965\" src=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/musique-amsterdam-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"music amsterdam\" width=\"1024\" height=\"681\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/musique-amsterdam-1024x681.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/musique-amsterdam-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/musique-amsterdam-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/musique-amsterdam-1536x1022.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/musique-amsterdam-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/musique-amsterdam.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc145845286\"><\/a><strong>Where to enjoy concerts in Amsterdam?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In addition to the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/ziggo-dome\/\">Ziggo Dome<\/a> and the Heineken Music Hall, which mainly host high-profile artists, the city also boasts numerous independent concert halls and live music bars.<\/p>\n<p>Smaller venues such as De Nieuwe Anita, OCCII and OT301 host special events throughout the year, while Paradiso and <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/melkweg\/\">Melkweg<\/a> are well known for their diverse musical programs.<\/p>\n<p>Classical music and jazz are also well represented in Amsterdam at De <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/concertgebouw-amsterdam\/\">Concertgebouw<\/a> and Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, two monumental buildings on Museumplein and Oosterdok respectively.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc145845287\"><\/a><strong>Party to the music at Amsterda's nightclubs<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Of Amsterdam's many clubs, three currently hold a 24-hour license and are able to host parties throughout the weekend:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>RADION<\/li>\n<li>De School<\/li>\n<li>Shelter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These establishments generally focus on contemporary electronic dance music.<\/p>\n<p>RADION and De School are located in the west of the city, while Shelter is part of A'DAM Toren in Amsterdam-Noord.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to these top clubs, there are also several smaller nightclubs in the city center, including :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the Chicago Social Club on <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/leidseplein-amsterdam\/\">Leidseplein<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Club NYX on Reguliersdwarsstraat<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc145845288\"><\/a><strong>Going to a music festival in Amsterdam<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Amsterdam's festivals tend to focus on electronic music and <strong>numerous EDM events<\/strong> important events take place in the city throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>The festival season kicks off over the Easter weekend with DGTL at NDSM-Werf, which always plays host to major names on the international EDM scene.<\/p>\n<p>After that, you'll find numerous festivals throughout the summer, with other major events such as :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lente Kabinet<\/li>\n<li>PITCH<\/li>\n<li>Dekmantel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In October, Amsterdam also hosts the world's largest club festival, ADE (<a href=\"https:\/\/bonjouramsterdam.fr\/en\/amsterdam-dance-event\/\">Amsterdam Dance Event<\/a>), where <strong>over 2,000 artists perform in hundreds of venues across the city.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Finally, there are also two annual hip-hop and R&amp;B festivals in Amsterdam:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Still<\/li>\n<li>Appelsap<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are plenty of places to listen to music in Amsterdam.
